Overview

Claire has over 10 years research experience in marine fisheries management and ecology. She has worked closely with the fishing industry (fishers/processors), government authorities (MMO, IFCAs, Seafish, JNCC) and across the science/policy interface (CEFAS/DEFRA) throughout her career and completed much of her doctoral research in Southwest England. Previous projects have included industry and EU funded projects to quantitatively assess the ecological impacts of fisheries, and how fishing patterns and practices have altered over time in relation to external drivers such as policy changes, management interventions and other perturbations.
