Overview

I am an interdisciplinary researcher in the field of heritage studies, with a background in archaeology and objects conservation. Most of my research focuses on public-facing projects and decision-making processes in the heritage sector. I am currently working with Professor Caitlin DeSilvey on the Landscape Futures and the Challenge of Change project, which sets out to to develop practical approaches for managing transformative change of built heritage at a landscape scale in ways that enhance both natural and cultural heritage values. 

My doctoral research explored how heritage organisations in the UK are working to build capacity and sustainability in community groups involved in caring for heritage places during austerity. 

I currently also work on a UKRI funded project at Museum of London Archaeology investigating how public benefit from developer-led archaeology in the UK can be transformed, measured and maximised - and coordinate the Association of Critical Heritage Studies Early Career Researchers Network.
